But others have been in positions of power for years and they are willing to step up now because they know the benefits of doing so.

One of these filmmakers and producers is the late-director James Cameron. He was the executive who gave us the “father of the modern American film” award when he was awarded the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2001. He had a long history of being very outspoken in the public interest as well. He was a big proponent of the Iraq War and opposed the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq.
