In our class, we usually start with the speaker. When we’re talking about a topic that we know our class knows little about, we usually start with the topic. For example, we might ask the class what they think about the topic, “Does God exist?” and then ask the class to write down what they think is the first sentence that would make everyone think about this question.

Speaking with a class is just as fundamental to taking a class as taking a test. A good speech requires you to be able to connect with the people you are speaking to. Your classmates, your professors, and even your fellow students are your audience. So when you are going to speak to a class, you want to make sure you have their attention. And you want to do this in a way that is interesting, relevant, and memorable.

Some people like to do a speech in a class and then have class notes written about it for later. Others prefer to do a speech in a library. But there is a third way that you can make a speech more memorable: by thinking about it yourself. As you go through your speech, think about what you want to say, what you want to say to your audience. Think about how you would talk about these things in your speech.

In the speech you just wrote, you said that you wanted to have fun, that you would have a good time. The next step is to think about how you would talk about this in your speech. Thinking about the speech as a whole will help you to make it more memorable.

In the speech you wrote, if you didn’t have time for it, you would think of it as a fun way of talking about the world. If you have time for it, you could say something about where it is on the surface of your physical body. You could say something like, “I’m going to have a good time.” If you don’t have time for it, you could say something like, “I hate talking about this in my speech.

This is the first time, if you were trying to decide what to do with your speech, you would have had to spend some time in school. It’s like the subject of your “Why I’m on this plane.” It’s just so easy to see that there’s more to it than simple words. The question is, is it okay to be scared of this subject? It feels like most of us are scared of our own words.

Okay, so you know these other things that you’re worried about, but is it really that bad to be scared of your own self? Or is that just how it is? You can’t know for sure, and there’s nothing wrong with being scared of it. We’re all scared of not being good enough. But if you can do something about it and you’re aware of it, you’re doing something about it.

So let’s talk about your own self. It’s true that fear of the topic is normal, but it’s not the same thing as scared of your own self. What is scared of is only one thing: you. Even though this topic scares you, you are in control of your fear. You can say, “I don’t want to have to learn this stuff, I don’t want to get my hair long and dye it red, and so on.
