I can’t be clear about what I am trying to achieve unless I get clear about the end goal. We’ve all been there: I want to get a good job, so I’m going to get a good job and then I’m going to get a job with a good boss and then I’ll get a great boss and then I’ll get a great job and then I’ll get a great boss and then I’ll get a great job and so on. That’s fine.
